Waddesdon Manor is a fabulous place to visit any time of year, but it really shows off at Christmas time. Christmas at Waddesdon Manor is a feast for the senses. There is something about the mellow coloured walls and grandeur of the place that just lends itself to being decked out in Christmassy splendour.
We make a point of visiting the Christmas market annually and it is an amazing way to get the Christmas season off to a good start. There is nothing like a mug of mulled wine, twinkling lights, Christmas trees and a Christmas market to get me in the mood for all things Christmas and our outing to the Waddesdon Manor Christmas market this year ticked all of those boxes.
Having fluffed things up a bit last year, this year we made sure to time our visit a bit better - after a browse around the market and a bite to eat at the food village it was dark enough to really appreciate the Winter Light Trail
My photos do NOT do the Light Trail justice, it is really beautiful with lights timed to change colour in time to the music, interactive elements which the kids loved and something surprising around every corner.
